February 2023 QEP Update

Monthly Summary

February saw the ongoing development of our program. A SWOT analysis was conducted and the results were shared with Dr. Kehoe. South Texas College requested a meeting to learn about our program and they expressed interest in replicating our model, especially the non-credit to credit pathway. The Implementation Core team met with York Technical College to learn how they collect and use data from D2L. Finally, an initial meeting was held with Nicole Bell to explore opportunities for incorporating micro-credentials as part of professional development for our faculty and staff.

Outreach

  • Meeting with ACC Head of Product with Dr. Kehoe to discuss areas of opportunity and challenges of the micro-credential initiative
  • Meeting with South Texas College team
  • Meeting with Nicole Bell to discuss opportunities for incorporating micro-credentials as part of Professional Development for staff
  • Future development of the Digital Fluency and Innovation website to include new pages for QEP, News/Publications, Faculty, and Digital Navigators

Micro-Credentials

  • Ongoing D2L BSL training: e-portfolio, portfolio , awards, and badging
  • Ongoing curriculum development for Fundamentals of Computer Skills for Job Readiness micro-credentials – Data Management and Intro to Computers and Internet Search
  • Converted existing Web Builder micro-credential to new user experience navigation format which resulted in restructuring layout and nesting of curriculum
  • Created a micro-credential master template for use in all micro-credentials

Data

  • Meeting with Elizabeth Pearsall from York Technical College to learn how they were utilizing D2L BSL for data collection and analysis
