Monthly Summary
February saw extensive outreach efforts made to enhance educational opportunities and streamline administrative processes within various programs. This included panel participation, meetings with stakeholders, and collaborations to create tailored educational pathways, such as a Level One Certificate for high school students. Concurrently, significant progress was made in developing and implementing microcredentials, with a focus on emerging fields like problem-solving with AI and data analytics. These efforts aimed to diversify educational offerings and meet evolving demands in the workforce. Robust data collection facilitated informed decision-making, ensuring programs were effective and aligned with student needs and learning outcomes.

Outreach
- February 9, 2024 – Tabled and was on a panel for the Affinity Programs, Ascender, Brass, High School Career Scholars, and Adult Career Scholars.
- March 14 – Met with Venancio Ybarra and Mary Kohls to discuss creating a Level One Certificate for high school students consisting of the 13 credit hour, Digital Fluency OSA consisting of 16 microcredentials and a course (not microcredentials) COSC Programming Fundamentals COSC 1336.
- February 15 – Met with Mary Clark
- February 15 – Met with Vanessa Errico to continue the process to enroll Military Spouses.
- February 23 – Met with Linda Terry to create a process to award credit to microcertificates utilizing a Box Platform for awardees. Articulation of the Digital Fluency microcredentials had been previously established with Computer Science and Information Technology.
- February 29 – Met with Vanessa Erricon and Continuing Education to further establish the enrollment process for Military Spouses.
Microcredentials
- Ongoing development of two microcredentials: Problem Solving with AI and Data Analytics.
- Added Problem Solving with AI and Data Analytics to the second spring session as pilots. Both filled quickly.
- Opened an additional Spreadsheets Microcredential.
Data
- Spring session enrollment is 762 with 292 for Co-curricular and 470 for Opt-In. Total to date for enrollment since Summer 2022 is 1599 which has met the milestone of year two of 1,410.
- Seventeen Digital Navigators have been trained and onboarded, teaching eleven microcredentials with multiple instances. Two additional Digital Navigators are in the process of being trained for the Summer/Fall semesters.
Data continues to be gathered and documented in multiple areas such as 1) milestones;
2) deliverables; 3) microcredential performance indicators; and 4) student learning outcomes.
