March 2024 QEP Update

Monthly Summary

The DFI Microcredential program continues to grow and improve. March saw the addition of two new microcredentials – Data Analytics and Problem Solving with AI – bringing the total to eleven microcredentials developed out of the original 16 outlined in the QEP plan.

In an effort to provide the best student experience, editing of existing microcredentials is ongoing, with Word Processing getting the most attention in March. Almost all opt-in sections for Spring Session #2 filled up, including two sections offered for Spreadsheets. Three students were awarded a DFI microcertificate, each of which is equivalent to a credit course in CSIT.

Outreach efforts extended to Liberal Arts, Bioscience Incubator, and Engineering Technology.
