The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) and Payroll:  The ACC community members are grateful to the ACC Board of Trustees for approving an annual increase for employees.  However, the decision was made after the deadline to submit our employee salary data to the Employees Retirement System of Texas for Plan Year 2021. Each plan year ERS receives salary information from ACC on employees to adjust the premium costs for certain benefits. Therefore, the Payroll and HR staff had to work with ERS to ensure that deductions were corrected and based upon the new salaries. Payroll will be adjusting employees’ paychecks in November for those benefit deductions that are calculated based on the employee salary as of September 1. Employees will notice an increase in their deductions for their Optional Life Insurance (if they have more than 1x), Short-term disability and ERS Long-term Disability. You will see the adjustments and new deduction amounts on the November biweekly paychecks and November 30th paycheck. For further assistance, please email [email protected].
