October 2022 QEP Update

Monthly Summary

October was busy. During the first two weeks, the Web Builder microcredential underwent a complete rebrand, additional learning materials were added to supplement the curriculum, and intelligent agents were activated to monitor student engagement.

At the same time, preparation for the SACSCOC reaffirmation visit included creating booklets and a presentation, and practicing for interviews. The last two weeks of October were spent launching three co-curricular Web Builder microcredential sessions and participating in the SACSCOC reaffirmation visit. 

Highlights

SACSCOC Visit

  • Two days of interviews and presentations with DFI core team, QEP Implementation Committee members, QEP faculty/curriculum leads, and the QEP Development team
  • Received valuable feedback from SACSCOC review committee

Outreach

  • Participated in ACC’s Campus Conversations on the QEP
  • Created a homepage and developed wireframes for the new Digital Fluency & Innovation website
  • Created branded digital assets such as a logo, email signature line, icons/graphics for use on the DFI website, print materials, presentations, and LMS
  • Held a QEP information session with Student Affairs

Microcredentials

  • Attended ACC’s Badging Implementation Subcommittee
  • Launched three co-curricular 3-week sessions of the Web Builder microcredential in ITSE-1301 Web Design Tools course
  • Discussed the Digital Navigator SACSCOC credential requirements with the ACC’s Associate Dean of Planning and Accreditation 

Data 

  • Formulated a strategy for collecting QEP baseline data with OIRA team and the QEP Implementation Data Subcommittee
