THE SENATE STANDARD – ISSUE 2.32

ACC Full-Time Faculty Senate Website

ACC Coronavirus page

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Semester grades are due in a little over a week, and it looks like we’re going to make it!  Still a few opportunities for professional development below.  You’ll also find calls to participate in the process to replace Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Charles Cook, who announced he will be retiring at the end of the summer.  Some great opportunities to engage in summer activities, with calls for getting involved in fall leadership and professional development events.  Your Full-Time Faculty Senate continues to tackle ambitious agendas with what’s left of this senate’s term.  Very shortly we will be presenting our Salary and Benefits Committee’s recommendations to Neil Vickers.  We’re shooting to announce the next class of senators in the next Standard, and then we’ll start soliciting faculty volunteers to serve on our various Shared Governance councils and committees as well as our senate standing committees.

Have a great week wrapping up the semester.  Remember, grades are due by 5PM on Wednesday, May 19th.  But, then we have a week or so to catch our collective breath before launching the summer semester.
