Informal Biology Student Concern Form

The College encourages students to discuss their concerns with the appropriate college official at the lowest level who has the authority to address the concerns. Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow for early resolution. Any deadline extension shall be mutually agreed upon in writing and will not affect a formal complaint deadline.

You have several options to share your concerns.

  • Email your concerns to [email protected].  Please include answers to the following questions:
  1. What is the course you are in? Please provide the course #, section # and synonym (i.e. BIOL 2401 001 12345).
  2. Who is the Professor?
  3. What is the resolution you are seeking?
  4. What is the best way to contact you?
  5. Have you attempted to resolve this concern directly with your Professor?
  6. Has this matter been previously reported? If yes, describe the outcome or resolution.
  7. Do you wish to remain anonymous?

If you choose to allow the Biology Department to assist you with your concerns, Felix Villarreal, Assistant Department Chair, will be your initial point of contact to address these concerns. Felix will get in touch with you to discuss your concerns and will also contact the Professor to work towards a resolution. If, for any reason, Felix cannot find a resolution, he will escalate your concerns by referring the matter to Curtis Eckerman, Biology Department Chair. Both Felix and Curtis are copied on this email to ensure that they are aware you have concerns.
