BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308

ATTENTION STUDENTS:

REQUESTS FOR PERMISSION TO REGISTER FOR THE A&P I (BIOL 2401) and BIOLOGY FUNDAMENTALS (BIOL 1308) PAIRED COURSES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN TESTING DATES.  REQUESTS SENT OUTSIDE OF THE TESTING DATES WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

About Paired Anatomy & Physiology I and Biology Fundamentals:

The paired Anatomy & Physiology I (BIOL 2401) and Biology Fundamentals (BIOL 1308) courses are designed for students who have struggled to pass the A&P assessment or students who wish to complete BIOL 1308 but do not want to delay completion of BIOL 2401.  Students who choose to enroll in the paired sections of BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308 will not be required to pass the A&P I Assessment Test in order to register.

Paired sections of BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308 will be taught as an integrated course, students will cover both Anatomy and Physiology I and Biology Fundamentals objectives in one semester.  Students will receive the SAME FINAL GRADE for both sections of the paired.  Students must enroll in BOTH BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308, no exceptions will be made regardless of previous classes completed.  It is crucial that students attend both the BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308 lectures as material from either course may be taught on any of the lecture days.

The Biology department will not offer waitlists for any of the paired BIOL 2401/BIOL 1308 and cannot overload any section that has a face to face lab due to safety regulations.

How To Get Permission to Register for Paired Courses:

Registration for the paired sections of BIOL 2401 and BIOL 1308 is by permission only.

NOTE: You must have an ACCeID in order to receive permission.

Students are granted permission to register on a first come first serve basis.  This process takes 3-5 business days from the time that students submit their requests.  Please note that you will not be notified when your permission is complete.  Students can tell if they have permission by attempting to register for their preferred paired course.  If it has been more than 5 business days since you have submitted your request and you are still unable to register, please contact the Biology department at (512) 223-3322 as there may have been an issue in processing your request.
