Thank you for the opportunity to represent you this year. It has been an incredible honor that I am humbled to have had. The turmoil of the last two years created a unique opportunity to evaluate longstanding policies and propose practical changes to align with changing needs. The Senate worked hard to advocate for our full-time faculty as we transitioned back to campus and worked to establish our “new normal.” ACC faculty faced extraordinary challenges this year, such as determining on-campus COVID policies, the first Workday transition, staffing shortages, employee burnout, registration declines, and extreme cost-of-living increases.  I am proud of the efforts of our Senate to respond and partner with the administration to guide the college forward successfully.  Thank you to our outstanding 2021-2022 Senators. With complete confidence, I turn the reigns over to the capable hands of Dr. Nancy Stano to build upon this year’s accomplishments and advance unfinished work. I will leave you with a call to take an hour or two out of your month to get involved with governance at ACC.  Join the Senate, serve on a committee or council, or communicate your ideas and needs to a Senator. Your input matters.Thank you all for your support and enjoy your final week of the summer! ~Samantha
