A myriad of subjects are presented and discussed in this course, with the main theme centering about the State of Texas contractor’s HVAC license and how the student can become better prepared for this examination.

The current methodologies employed by the TDLR in the administration of the state exam are presented.

The PSI licensing and certification booklet in concert with the main instruction booklet from the State of Texas License bureau form the core of the course materials.

A “down to earth” approach is taken in the presentation of the following materials

  • Requirements for licensing and testing
  • Approved Publications for use during the exam
  • Contractor Business Law and Taxes
  • Boilers, both low and high pressure
  • Psychometric Charts
  • Pipe Fitters Handbook
  • Duculator

This course is usually offered in the Spring semester but more frequently when the student demand warrants more classes.
