ACC Works

Overview

ACC Works is a student-led “employment agency” that supports ACC students finding hourly work on an ACC campus. Employment on campus, often in an area that is related to a student’s career interests, helps students build their employable skills, make connections, build their resumes, and connect with ACC faculty and staff. Those connections are often the key to students’ academic success.

Accomplishments

  • Moved from the proof of concept phase (minimum viable product) to building the infrastructure necessary to run a unit
  • Surpassed our first-year targets
  • Demonstrated that ACC could build a student-led job agency to fill ACC jobs
  • Leveraged cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Built on the successful HACA bridge internship model with Foundation Communities
