Overview
Campus safety is a top priority of the college and ACC‘s campus safety professionals are committed to integrating the best practices for safety and security across the district.
Accomplishments
ACC has increased badging requirements, limited points of access for non-students, and deployed new systems to better account for visitors coming into ACC facilities. These enhanced measures, along with the support and vigilance of the ACC District Police Department, are designed to provide students with a safer environment in which to learn.
Impact
In response to state and national concerns about campus safety and security (and to help students feel safer while on campus property), ACC is applying the lens of continuous process improvement to ensure we provide a safe learning environment.
Next Steps
ACC will continually monitor threats and incorporate safety best practices across the college.
