• What to bring: Lab kit, IV notes, and Davis Drug guide
• What to wear: ACC scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and surgical mask

• When: Tuesday, January 21, 2025 after Lecture
• Where: HLC
• What to bring: You may use a simple calculator, pencil, and scratch paper. You may not use a smart device or cell phone as a calculator.
• You will be required to take a Dosage Calculation Exam as part of Orientation. You must pass this exam with a minimum of 90% before you are allowed to administer medications in the clinical setting.

• When: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 (you will be given the opportunity to choose your time slot)
• Where: HLC
• What to bring: Your lab pack
• The first comprehensive Mastery Skills Check-off will cover previously learned skills in Level 1. All students registered for Level 2 are required to be at the Mastery Skills Check-off. Students have up to three attempts to pass check-off; missing a check-off counts as an attempt. You must wear ACC teal scrubs for all check-offs.
• You will be given a patient situation and will demonstrate the care you would provide using the equipment in your lab pack. You will be checked off on injections (IM or Sub Q) and catheterization (male or female indwelling Foley catheter).
• You must successfully complete the assigned checkoff to continue in this course.
• The ACC guidelines for skills can be found in the ACC Nursing Skills Checklists.

The clinical groups, sites, times and days have not yet been finalized. Clinical assignment will be posted to Blackboard the week of January 13, 2025. Your clinical instructor will contact you with additional information regarding your clinical rotation, so check your ACC email account often. Please keep in mind that although you might sign up for a particular instructor for clinical, you may be assigned to a different clinical group. Clinical placements are assigned and not subject to change once posted.
